What have I been up to? Hmm... Well, lets start with Senior Show stuff, and get that outta the way. It's going fairly well, actually. I haven't met with Leo-Paul in a couple weeks, and I need to get some painting done this afternoon...but in general I'm feeling pretty good about it right now. Gotten mostly positive feedback from everyone, which shocks the hell out of me. I guess it's true when everyone says "you're your own worst critic". I think I'm going to order my canvasses pre-stretched...it turns out that doing it that way will only end up costing me about $1-$2 more per canvas, and it'll save me a lot of time. I also saw online that Dick Blick has "watercolor canvas"...I might try some of that, to see if I like it. That way if I do use both watercolor & acrylic for my show, it'll look more uniform. If anyone reading this has used it before, let me know what you thought of it.

Got all pre-registered for classes last week...I can't believe it's time for that already. Taking Painting II, Drawing II, Sculpture II, Renaissance Art History and Senior Show (hopefully, heh). Jen H. & I have the same schedule again next semester...hopefully we won't drive everyone TOO insane. If we do, I apologise ahead of time. :P

Now for fun stuff...I seriously cannot wait til the end of December/January. A little over a week (hopefully) in Pennsylvania with AJ? Yea, can't think of anything better than that. Not looking foreward to the bus ride down & back...but I'll live. Hopefully. I just can't wait to see him again...to be able to do all the little things that "normal" couples do (not that either of us is anything like NORMAL, as I'm sure that Mandy will confirm when she reads this...haha). But yea, the end of the year isn't so far away, now...

Otherwise, not so much going on. I think the semester is seriously wearing on my patience, though...as I'm about ready to KILL someone every time they open their stupid mouth. Some of you know who I mean...no names, please. lol But yea, either he's getting more annoying/arrogant as the semester goes on, or I'm getting less tolerant. I'm not sure which, yet.

Aaand...I think that's about it, for now. Toodles, people...have an excellent weekend!

Hint: It ain't slim shady. :P

What up, peeps. I return. Not gonna make a long post out of this, but I'll go through my myspace blog sometime & pick out the "important" blogs to update you all on what's been happening in my oh-so-interesting life.

Good to be back, I guess. Woot.

You Belong in London

A little old fashioned, and a little modern.
A little traditional, and a little bit punk rock.
A unique woman like you needs a city that offers everything.
No wonder you and London will get along so well.

...I guess it's time to catch you all up on my VERY interesting life, eh? Well, there isn't much to tell. Life has been pretty dull lately...and I have come to the startling conclusion that I'm not happy with that. I just don't know what I need to do to make myself happy with my life. Blah.

Working on school papers sucks. And I now officially hate Citizen Kane. Cliff apparently likes my plaster sculpture, though....I'm thinkin' about doing another one. It really wasn't that bad after the first couple days, and it's a great way to take out your frustrations. I don't want to do the welding project, though...fire + me = pain.

Spring break next week! And what will I be doing? Why, working on photography projects, of course.

So, it looks like I'm not gonna be getting as much financial aid next semester as I have in the past, so unless I get grants/scolarships from the college I'm gonna have to take out around $4500 in student loans, along with the $2700 for the trip to Italy, plus the $1000 I still owe from my first semester.

Seriously, everyone wants more people to go to college, but how can they expect us to if we can't afford it? I don't understand.

My crush has gone all the way back to phase 1, which sucks bigtime. I hate crushing, it never ends well. Anyway, can't really post any more about that here on the off chance that he'll stumble across this.

On the up side, my geology class was cancelled today, and we're watching Casablanca in Intro to Film tonight.

Well...it's been a while since I updated this. Not much going on, though...February was like, the longest month EVER.

Chiseling plaster sucks big time. My right arm/wrist is killing me, and I have two big juicy blisters on my right index finger from the hammer. Yes, I know you didn't need to know that...well tough luck. :P

I think that I am officially starting to get over that-guy-I-liked. I still think "Ooh...there's ____" when I see him, but it isn't nearly as much as before. And I almost never think about him if he isn't around. I'm so proud of my willpower. Now I just need to find a MUTUAL crush, and I'll be happy.

AJ is sending me a framed Monet print sometime. I'm all excited, I love Monet & it'll be the first thing I've ever gotten from one of my online-pals. Plus AJ is definitely be one of the most awesomest people ever. <3

And as of tomorrow...only 3 months til ITALY!! :D

Stayed at the girls' house the other night, and we were all up til 4 in the morning. Then I woke up at 8:30. Still haven't caught up on my sleep.

We watched Tim Burton's 'Corpse Bride' and it was pretty good. Not really as funny as I thought it'd be, but still pretty decent. 'Nightmare Before Christmas' was better, though.

Planning out what to get Meg for her birthday...trying to decide if I should get her a CD, or some other stuff. Hmm...

...which reminds me, I need to clean my room if everyone is coming over for her party on Friday.

Got a Geo. II Lab test on Tuesday, an Art History test, too. And a Geo. lecture test on Thursday. And 2 photo projects due tomorrow. Yikes.

That guy-I-kinda-like-but-am-trying-to-get-over was being all randomly chatty when I saw him yesterday. Seriously, now that I'm trying NOT to like him anymore, I wish that he would just ignore me...it would make it much easier.

Also, I despise Valentine's day with a great firey passion.

Like I said, the trip was great. The girls really, REALLY outdid themselves this time. They paid for everything (hotel room & all the meals), except for the stuff I bought. Plus lots of presents.

We went to Borders when we got there (after they gave me a present for every hour we were in the car...which is 3, for those of you who don't know). I bought Cell (King's new novel) & Itallian Phrases for Dummies. Figured that might come in handy.

Then we went & checked in at the hotel, and I got the rest of my presents. Then we stopped by The Bull Moose record store, and I got 3 DVDs for around $24. A steal, I must say. Afterward we went to Bugaboo for dinner, which was really crowded but totally worth the half an hour wait. Our waiter was the biggest geek ever, but he was hilarious. They have the best wait staff there, I love it. After dinner we went to the mall, where I bought a few things, and went to the grocery story & bought some Smirnoff (shh!) and headed back to the hotel. Tried to order Corpse Bride from the hotel room, but it wasn't working. :(

Next morning we packed up & stuff, and went to Olive Garden for lunch. Had never been there, but I loved it. Then we went back to the mall for a bit (to walk around & digest, we ate a LOT), and headed home.

All in all, it was a pretty great weekend. :D

Looks like a couple of my friends & I will be heading down to Bangor tomorrow for some belated-birthday fun. :D They rented a suite at a hotel down there & we're gonna have dinner at Bugaboo Creek...only the BEST resturaunt ever. Plus movies & shopping & all that good stuff. Can't wait.

Please, please, PLEASE visit this site. I'm SO irritated that apparently none of you have (except Jess & Jen). Seriously, it takes less than a minute, and it's free, and it feeds starving people. I don't believe for one second that your lives are all too damn busy to do this one thing.

It's important. This is a site where you can donate free food to a family in a 3rd world country, and all you need to do is click that button on the screen. You can do the same thing to fund free mammograms to help prevent breast cancer, to send aid to prevent childhood illnesses, send books so kids can learn how to read, save the rain forest and to donate pet food to animal shelters. Just click the tabs at the top of the page to get to those sites.

It's all free, what do you have to lose?

Thanks :)

So...classes start tomorrow. I'm so not looking foreward to them, either. I'm sick to death of school.

On the up side, I ordered a totally awesome pair of purple kangaROOS yesterday. They are quite spiffy, can't wait to get 'em. I love fun sneakers. :)

Also, I've stopped biting my fingernails. For now, anyway. lol We'll see how long that lasts after classes get going.

And I'll be 21 in 10 days. Woohoo.

"The problem with LJ is that we all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you."

I'm actually fairly happy with it. The guy who cut it thought I was in high school, though. Wonder what he would have said if I'd told him that I'm turning 21 at the end of the month...

So, I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years, and got kissed at midnight, and all that stuff. No kisses for me, but I did have some friends over and we had a blast. I didn't go to sleep 'til after they left at 8:30 Sunday morning...but we also missed midnight. At around 12:15 someone looked at the clock & was like "Oh, it's midnight. Happy New Year." and that was the whole celebration. Oh well, still fun.

Gonna be getting my hair cut sometime soon, hopefully tomorrow or the day after, since I'll have to go into town sometime soon anyway to get Jess's b-day presents. If I decide to get her anything, that is. :P Wish I could be there to celebrate your 21st with you, Jessica...but at least the presents should get there on time. lol

Also: I love this song.
